I hold summa cum laude Bachelors of Music in K-12 Music Education (Concentration Instrumental) Music Performance (Concentration Tenor Trombone), and a Certificate in Jazz Studies from the Miriam Cannon Hayes School of Music. This small business I run supplements the income I make from teaching middle school band full-time in northwest North Carolina, where I was born and raised. Outside of work, I enjoy going to amusement parks, being a personal fitness nut, and all things trains!
Those various sources of part-time income include playing the trombone professionally, as well as teaching and creating shows for high school marching bands across the United States. Through a few classes I took in my college career, I started this marching band consultation firm going into the 2021 season, and it's been on the up-and-up

As someone who has been in small-town, rural, backwoods North Carolina marching band (Let's go Bandys Trojan Band!), our ensemble was excited about the shows we did because our design team and director were passionate about *our* achievement and enjoyment as the membership. As such, I firmly believe that a great marching band can come from anywhere; from the inside of a busy and bustling city, to the countryside with a farm on campus!
